Designed especially for expectant moms with complex health histories and moms who've had difficulty breastfeeding previously, this prenatal consultation offers personalized information on the best ways to enable successful breastfeeding. I will do a breast exam, and we will discuss breast changes, birth choices, positioning, latch, milk transfer, normal newborn habits, and any special topics that fit your family’s needs.

Initial appointments include a thorough history for mother and baby; a physical exam of mother and baby; observation and assessment of a feed; a weight check; and a customized care plan that you receive in writing. Appts. are in English.

Follow-up appointments are where we check progress, conduct new clinical exams, troubleshoot another feeding, and adjust the care plan.

Home visits are within Copenhagen transit zones 1-4 and 30/34. Further travel is billed at 200 kr per 15 minutes of one-way travel.

Parents who aren't birthing their babies can still breastfeed! At the initial appointment, we review the intended mom’s history; perform a brief physical exam; and choose a lactation induction protocol that is the best fit for the mom’s goals, available energy/time, and length of time before the baby’s anticipated arrival. We schedule a follow-up around four weeks later to adjust the plan. I send notes and a care plan within 48 hours.

These appointments are for clients who've already had the initial and first follow-up, so that we can adjust the care plan based on new developments. Follow-ups usually include a discussion of what has occurred with the steps in the previous care plan; (if in person) a physical exam of mother; a personalized, updated care plan; and notes and care plan emailed to you within 48 hours of the appointment.

(Once the baby is here, appointments become standard postnatal.)

Virtual initial appointments include a thorough health, birth, and breastfeeding history for mother and baby; a video exam of mother and baby (a second person should be available for moving the camera); observation and assessment of a feed; a customized care plan; and a copy of the care plan emailed to you within 3 business days of the appointment. If you are uncertain whether you need an initial home visit or virtual appointment, call or text Sally. All appts in English.

Follow-up appointments are for clients who have already had an appointment, so that we can adjust the care plan based on new developments. Virtual follow-ups usually include a discussion of what has occurred with the steps in the previous care plan; a video exam of mother and baby (a second adult should be available to move the camera); observation and assessment of a feed; and a copy of the care plan emailed within 3 business days. All appointments are in English.

A brief virtual or telephone follow-up, for when parents have questions or concerns and we do not need a full consultation. Billed in 15-minute increments at 300 kr/15 minutes. 30-minute maximum.
